COMBAT

Les Normands d'Hiver offers the chance for our members to take part in the exciting and unique experience of combat re-enactment. Following the guides and regulations set forth by our parent organization, Regia Anglorum, we train our members how to fight safely and with a competitive spirit.

The first weapon our warriors are trained with. The spear was the most common weapon on any battlefield before the invention of the gun and for good reason.	Round and kite shields were used extensively from 1000 C.E. to 1215 C.E. Their design changes with the times but it's purpose remained the same.	A more iconic weapon from the middle ages cannot be found. This weapon's sole purpose was for war.
